El imagotipo está basado en los los Ah ts'ib, que eran los escribanos y notarios del pueblo maya. El fondo, que hace de hoja de papel, está dividida en los 4 puntos cardinales, cada uno con su respectivo color original, más el 5º que contaban los mayas, el centro.
El Este es representado por el rojo, así que girando 45º la "hoja–cruz cardinal" da el sureste.

The imagotype is based on the Ah ts'ib , which were the scribes and notaries of the Mayan people. The background, which represents a sheet is divided into the four cardinal directions, each with its own original color, plus the 5th point that the Mayan had, the center.
The East is represented by red, so turning 45º the "sheet-cardinal cross" gives the southeast.
